Grow More

Productivity Journal

✷ Check out my process page for a deeper breakdown! ✷

The Grow More Productivity Journal was designed to accompany another project of mine - the Hatch phone app. The Hatch app helps people struggling with phone addiction limit the time they spend on their phones by rewarding them for time spent focusing. The rewards are customization options for virtual pets, which you can see hiding throughout the designs of this journal! My main focus for this project was to expand the branding and efficacy of the Hatch app and to ease people into discovering their own sense of productivity.

Goal: Create something that expanded on the idea of my productivity app.

Roles: Graphic Design, Copy Writing

Timeline: 4 months

Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Adobe inDesign

Deliverables: Journal Prototype (Printed)

Journal Features

This journal was designed to be frictionless to fill out for those who are new to planning.

The components have been reduced to their simplest forms to ease the frustration of starting a new habit.

Half of each spread is intended to be filled out at the beginning (left) and end (right) of each day to further simplify and reduce friction.

Navigation and introductory pages that integrate designs and colors from the app.

Pages to prime the reader, teach them how to use the journal, and motivate them before jumping in.

Grid paper at the back for note taking, doodling, brainstorming, or anything else!

Cover Design

🐣 + 📈

The design of the cover combines the iconography of an egg hatching with an upward trending graph to symbolize the growth of progress.
